A capturing unit E A capturing unit (incl. King) is reborn on the game-array square (which must be empty else the capture is illegal) corresponding to the capture square. The captured unit vanishes. A pawn capturing on its promotion rank promotes and is reborn then. A piece cannot capture on its rebirth square. The rebirth square of a royal piece is the rebirth square of the corresponding no-royal piece.

Deshalb konnte vier Jahrhunderte später, selbst in der ersten, besten Epoche persischer Dichtkunst, keine vollkommen reine Naivetät stattfinden. Aber welche entwickelnde Lebenskraft f war mit Vulten aufs Eis n gefahren v, und wie schwebte der Geist über dem Wasser, das gefroren war! Zuerst bald Winas Bart, bald ihr Wandelstern, bald ihre gerade schießende Sternschnuppe zu sein, damit fing er an sie Schachkönigin zu decken gegen jede Königin, es sei als Läufer, als Springer oder Turm als Amors Pfeil zu fliegen, so oft sie Amors Bogen war es nicht zu leiden, wenn sie kühner fliegen wollte als er, sondern sie so lange zu überbieten, bis er selber über boten wurde und dann leichter den Wettflug mit einem Doppelsiege schloß dies war die Kunst, womit seine schöne, von der Welt erzogne Gestalt ihren Wert entwickelte in leichter Haltung und Wechslung.
